Nexus Medodent NMD Diamond Wedges 40 pcs

Diamond Wedge is designed to solve many of the difficulties in using traditional wedges. The Diamond Wedge requires less effort to place than traditional wedges due to the diamond shaped cut-out in the tip, which collapses during insertion. The wedge then springs open once through the embrasure, creating a tight seal and preventing the wedge from backing out. While still maintaining strong tooth separation, the flexibility of the Diamond Wedge creates an excellent marginal adaptation which eliminates the uncontrolled flow of excess composite and minimizes clean up after the composite has been cured. The Diamond Wedge is offered in both original and long. The Original Diamond Wedge is intended for most cases. The Long Diamond Wedge is approximately 2mm longer than the original wedge and is intended to be used when working on wider molars. Typically long wedges are used in conjunction with the Pink or Orange Evolve matrices.

Selection: Choose the appropriate size and type of diamond wedge based on the specific dental procedure and tooth morphology. Preparation: Ensure that the tooth surface and surrounding area are clean and free from debris or moisture. Placement: Insert the diamond wedge into the interproximal space gently but firmly, utilizing the diamond-shaped cut-out in the tip to facilitate easy insertion. Positioning: Position the wedge so that it creates a tight seal and maintains separation between adjacent teeth. Ensure proper alignment to achieve optimal results. Verification: Verify that the wedge is securely seated and not at risk of backing out during the procedure. Procedure: Proceed with the dental procedure, such as composite restoration or other restorative work, while the diamond wedge maintains tooth separation and provides optimal marginal adaptation. Removal: Carefully remove the wedge after completing the procedure, taking care not to disturb the surrounding dental work or cause discomfort to the patient. Cleanup: Dispose of used wedges appropriately and clean the treatment area to ensure proper hygiene and patient comfort.

Versatility: Suitable for various dental procedures, including achieving tight interproximal contacts, improving marginal adaptation, preventing composite flashing, and enhancing visibility and access. Original and Long Versions: Available in original and long versions, catering to different tooth morphologies and procedural requirements. Patient Comfort: Designed to ensure patient comfort during placement and removal, minimizing discomfort and ensuring a positive treatment experience. High-Quality Material: Constructed from high-quality, flexible material for optimal performance and durability.
